I remember the dates very clearly - it was December 13th and 14th, 2022. That was when our company handed out the yearly bonuses. I was expecting a bonus of 1,800 RM for the year, which I was supposed to receive at the end of December. But on December 13th, my supervisor gave me a warning letter that took away 1,100 RM from my bonus. I asked my supervisor why I was getting the warning letter and what mistake I made, but all they said was to go talk to the manager. So, I went to the manager and asked for an explanation, but they ignored me and said the reason was in the letter. I looked at the letter and saw that they deducted the bonus because of a "Refugee plate," but they didn't mention the plate number or the type of gloves. When I asked for those details, the manager ignored me and even insulted me. I told them I would complain to HR, but they didn't care and didn't respond. It really hurt me because it wasn't just about the money, but also the unfair punishment for something I didn't do. I was all set to complain about it to HR but on 18th December my night shift started and on 22nd December company shut down on 6th January, I had a return ticket to Nepal for my vacation. I was planning to return back from vacation and to continue working for the company in Malaysia for a few more years, but because of this incident, I decided not to go back not to return back again.
